ORU

ORU embodies a tactile-centric approach to material implementation. In partnership with Anna Ryzhova, as part of a design initiative at the Berlin University of the Arts, we engineered a transformative structural paradigm.

ORU manifests as an ensemble of collapsible receptacles, featuring three adaptable geometries. These geometric configurations, inspired by the principles of origami, have seamlessly transitioned from traditional paper models to the realm of repurposed polyethylene. This innovation not only economizes spatial and weight considerations during transportation but also significantly contributes to a more ecologically responsible daily existence.

The choice of materials entails the utilization of recycled polyethylene, designed to resemble water-resistant paper, while the sealing components are realized through 3D-printed PLA, a bioplastic derived from corn starch.
